File:Poema de Miguel Hernández - Metro de Madrid.jpg[edit]
This poem is by Miguel Hernandez, who died in 1942. As noted at Wikipedia:Non-U.S. copyrights, Spain is 80 pma for artists dead before 1987, so this is still in copyright in both Spain and (under the URAA) the US. It is a very short poem, but I know nothing about threshold of originality for text in Spain. Dcoetzee (talk) 06:16, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
- Inapplicable. Threshold of originality in Spain, Europe, US and most regions allow for this and bigger texts as long as you don't blatantly reproduce the whole work. If you are considering the proccess of reviewing the intellectual property of small chunks of quotes, you'd better start with wikiquote which has far longer pieces of lyric and prose.--Serg!o (talk) 11:42, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know enough about Miguel Hernandez to say whether this is an entire poem, or just a line or two from one. Dcoetzee (talk) 03:24, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Deleted: Serg!o's comment describes Fair Use, which we do not allow on Commons. As a general rule, even short poems -- shorter than this -- have a copyright. . Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 10:52, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
